The course will be a combination of lecture and hands on. We will cover the history of lasers, laser mechanism, physics as well as laser safety. We will discuss soft tissue lasers, hard tissue lasers as well as low level lasers. We will concentrate on Diode lasers and will discuss in detail the various clinical applications:

• • – Periodontal non-surgical treatment
  • – Frenectomies
  • – Troughing for impressions
  • – Gingivectomies and Ginigivoplasties
  • – Hygiene applications

There will be several different lasers available for you to try in the hands-on section and representatives of the various companies will be there to show their devices.

If you already own a laser and want to learn how to use it more effectively, feel free to bring it with you and you can use it for the hands on.

Low Level Lasers (Photobiomodulation) is the device that is a hidden secret and can be a huge practice booster.
