Dental Laser became an important tool in the dental clinic with multipurpose and wide range of applications. With the challenges that the dentists are facing in their daily practice, specially in Perio, Endo,and Oral surgery, asking for a more simple, better outcome, minimal invasive, less traumatic techniques and tools which the laser may give an effective assisting tool to the dentist for such procedures. Dental procedures using these lasers have been scientifically evaluated in more depth, and finally many FDA clearances have been achieved for different dental procedures. Thus, there is a need to re-think decision making for either non-, micro- or minimum-invasive treatment options at various applications to reduce the side effects of the conventional techniques. Standard Level Laser Dentistry course is designed to teach dental laser applications in an intensive hands-on workshop environment (bovine head) beyond the basics of dental lasers. Course content will include various laser therapies in daily practice. Cases demonstrating success will be explored along with clear contraindications. The applications of the Er Lasers and the diode lasers in the dental clinic cases with the techniques and parameters will be explained in detail using both HD photography and videos.

Learning Objectives:
1.To appraise scientific and practical value of different lasers.
2.To make right decision that which laser could be more beneficial for which application based on Laser-Tissue Interactions principals and hands-on works on animal jaws.
3.To explain the evidence behind the Lasers applications in Perio and Oral Surgeries.
4.To apply different Laser (Er lasers and Diodes) tips for different applications
5.The participants will be introduced to the different techniques and protocols in the laser assisted Perio-treatment with different wavelengths (Er, & Diode).
6.The participants will get information on the laser wavelengths and techniques in Perio/surgical cases.
7.The participants will be introduced to the different techniques in Laser Assisted Endo treatments.
8.The participants will be introduced to the laser caries removal.

The participant will do the following procedure on a bovine head.

1.Gingivectomy, Gingvoplasty and crown lengthening

2.Frenectomy

3.Incisions and check the differences in result applying continuous mode, pulse mode with diode laser and evaluate the different incisions using Er or diode lasers

4.Hemostasis

5.tissue-plasty

6.Perio treatment step by step starting by de-epithelization of the Pocket, pocket decontamination, and maintenance and follow up of the cases.
